On 28th February 2025, the TY students took part in a fun and interactive healthy cooking class.
Before the class began at 10:45 am, the students helped Ms Kirwan laminate some beautifully designed gratitude hearts, created by CPCC students, to be displayed on the school's gratitude wall. This small act added a nice touch to the morning and helped brighten up the school environment.
At 10:45 am, the students made their way to the home economics room, ready to get stuck into cooking. With guidance from Viv and Deirdre, they learned how to prepare delicious homemade burgers and wedges. The room was filled with the sound of chopping, sizzling, and plenty of chatter as everyone worked together to create their meals.
Once the cooking (and washing up!) was finished, a dietitian visited the school to chat with the students. They had the chance to ask questions about nutrition, healthy eating habits, and how to make better food choices in their daily lives.
It was a hands-on, informative, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved!
