Our TY YSI Project this year will be a swap shop and a fashion show. The swap shop will be on February 27th and our fashion show on March 3rd. Both will happen in the assembly hall.
For the swap shop we are asking for students to bring in clothes that they no longer want that are still in good condition. Some of the things that we do NOT want is
- Ripped clothes
- Clothes with stains
- Underwear
For the fashion show we will be making Junk Kouture, this means we will be using recycled materials to make the outfits that we will later show off, some things that will be needed for this could be
- Wrappers
- Bottles
- CDs/DVDs
- Cardboard
- Buttons
- Laces
Our Project “Out with the new, in with the old” was one of 10 schools chosen in the country to attend an event by EirGrid in the Aviva Stadium. Our students will be going up to learn about sustainability and how Ireland is promoting green energy. They will also share information about our own YSI project with other schools.
