Today, the third-year Higher Level English classes of Ms. O’Mahony and Mr. Dowling headed to the Clasac Theatre in Clontarf to see a performance of The Merchant of Venice by the Gaiety School of Acting.
The students really enjoyed the show, especially the interactive elements that brought the play to life. Seeing the characters and key moments performed on stage made Shakespeare’s work more relatable and engaging. The performers made sure the audience felt involved, which added an extra layer of fun and excitement.
The trip will be a big help to the students as they get ready for their upcoming mock exams. Watching the play in action gave them a better understanding of the characters, themes, and key scenes they’ve been studying in class.
All in all, it was a great mix of entertainment and learning that left everyone buzzing about the experience!
