Today, students in our Personal Care and Grooming Skills class had a special Valentine’s Day treat—a relaxing session of homemade face masks! The ASD class, made up of a wonderful mix of 3rd and 4th-year students, enjoyed learning about the importance of self-care while getting hands-on with natural skincare.
Under the guidance of their teacher, students carefully measured, mixed, and applied their own soothing face masks using simple, skin-friendly ingredients. The activity was not just fun but also a valuable learning experience, reinforcing independence and self-care routines. Some students giggled at the cool, refreshing feel of the masks, while others relaxed and embraced the spa-like atmosphere of the classroom.
This hands-on session also tied in beautifully with the Valentine’s Day theme—a reminder that self-care is a wonderful way to show love and kindness to ourselves. The smiles and laughter captured in the attached pictures truly reflect the joy of the experience!
A big well done to all our students for their enthusiasm and participation. We love seeing our learners engage, explore, and enjoy new experiences!
Thanks to Ms McEvoy for the information and pictures.
