Collinstown Park held its graduation celebration for Further Education students on Thursday night December 1st. Graduates, their families and staff joined in marking their exceptional achievement as thoughts turned to possible next steps whether continuing education in Collinstown Park, seeking opportunities further afield or settling into new jobs after their academic success in the college.
The night began with a speech by Principal Ms Duffy who thanked the learners for their participation and staff for their support of the graduates.
Further Education Coordinator Ms Whelan then congratulated students and their families on their achievements and encouraged them to put their new skills to best use in their communities.
We were delighted to welcome back special guest for the night Mr Doolin whose popularity among all connected with the college remains unmatched. His care and focus benefitted many of those students graduating on the night. Walter returned to hand out the all-important parchments – a fitting end to the journey these graduates have been on.
With many Collinstown graduates now working within our community in healthcare, childcare, hair and beauty, education and business, the night was a great celebration of everything the Further Education graduating class of 2022 has achieved.
Collinstown is also honoured to work in partnership with Microsoft to deliver a two-year traineeship programme culminating in two industrial awards: CompTIA and CISCO. The students then have the opportunity to apply for internship programmes with Microsoft and other leading IT companies.
Ms Whelan said: ‘All at Collinstown Park Community College would like to wish our graduates the very best for the future and remember our door is always open to help our past students in any way we can.’
Collinstown Park would be delighted to answer any queries on courses in: Beauty Therapy Level 5 and 6, Business Administration, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Hairdressing Studies, Healthcare and Nursing Studies along with Social and Community Care and Special Needs Assisting.
