Last week the TY students went to Emerald Park. They were expected to be at school for the usual reg time, the students left at 9 o'clock and arrived at the park at quarter to 10. There were no queues as it was still early in the morning, however, as the day went on and a lot of other schools with a lot more students arrived, which created congestion on the most popular rides. The queues continued to get worse as the day progressed.
The TY students had a wonderful day and made sure to try all the attractions such as Flight School, the Viking Voyage, and numerous other rides. The weather was cold, but most importantly the rain held off. After they finished going on the rides, the students went to get food at the food stands where there was an excellent choice of donuts, chicken, potato chips, ice cream and more.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable day in Emerald Park, they left the park at 1.30pm and arrived back to the school at around 2pm.
Everyone really enjoyed themselves and they hope to have trips as enjoyable as this in the future.
Thanks to Ms. Kirwan and Ms. Jones for organising and accompanying the students on the trip.
