Collinstown Park CC held its graduation celebration for Further Education students on Monday night October 23rd. Graduates, their families and staff joined in marking an exceptional achievement as thoughts turned to possible next steps while celebrating academic success.

The night began with an address by Principal Ms Pauline Duffy who thanked the learners for their participation and staff for their support of the graduates. She noted that the college will always be there for these students who will remain part of the Collinstown Park community.

Head of Further Education Ms Averil Whelan then congratulated students and their families on their achievements and encouraged them to put their new skills to best use in their communities and build on their success.
Siobhán Ahearne was our student representative for the night and she spoke of the close bond between tutors and FET students in the college. It was clear from Siobhán’s speech the cooperation and shared vision among FET students and staff in Collinstown Park FET.

With many Collinstown graduates now working within our community in healthcare, childcare, hair and beauty, education and business, the night was a great celebration of everything the Further Education graduating class of 2023 has achieved.
Collinstown is honoured to work in partnership with Microsoft to deliver a two-year traineeship programme culminating in two industrial awards: CompTIA and CISCO. The students then have the opportunity to apply for internship programmes with Microsoft and other leading IT companies.

Averil said: ‘All at Collinstown Park Community College would like to wish our graduates the very best for the future and remember our door is always open to help our past students.’
