On Friday, the 28th of March, the TYs took part in Healthy Cooking and made burgers and wedges. In preparation for the 40th anniversary, before cooking, we litter-picked around the school, and the winners who collected the most rubbish received a prize. Then we went back inside and had tea and cake to celebrate one of the SNA’s birthdays.
We then went to the Home Ec room and made burgers and wedges with the help of our lovely teachers, who showed us how to make them.
We mixed spices into the burgers to give them extra flavour and made garlic and herb wedges. There were also vegetables like lettuce and tomato added on top of the burgers. We had ketchup with our wedges too. As a healthy alternative to fizzy drinks, we made lemon and lime water. We all sat down together and ate our food – it was delicious!
Afterwards, we washed up all our dishes and were free to go home.
