PAULINE DUFFY
IN APPRECIATION
The halls of CPCC rang out last week, in appreciation for our retiring principal, Ms. Pauline Duffy. Having given thirty-seven years of unstinting service, Ms. Duffy finally hung up her principal’s hat on Tuesday, September 30th.
What followed was a celebration of Ms. Duffy’s career in CPCC. The entire school body attended the afternoon in our Sport’s Hall, with thanks given and a few tears shed too. As always, the students attending and presenting the various parts of this event were organised and exemplary in their roles. An apple tree and a ‘Tree of Life’ frame, made by all the students were presented to Ms. Duffy that afternoon.
Ms. Duffy finished the proceedings by thanking the students and her staff for the celebration and she recognised the years of growth and learning she had overseen throughout her years. As she bade us all a fond farewell, and we wished her a very happy and well-deserved retirement, the students stood for an ovation, and showed Ms. Duffy just how much she would be missed. Students and staff alike will miss her kindness and generosity and note her tireless work on educational inclusion.
Having climbed the mountain, Ms. Duffy can now sit and take in the view.
She will be missed.
