CPCC Students Support St. Vincent de Paul Through 2025 Food Appeal
The spirit of generosity was alive and well in Collinstown Park Community College this year as students and staff came together for the annual CPCC Food Appeal in aid of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP). Each year, SVP provides essential support to thousands of families, including the distribution of food parcels and Christmas hampers. These hampers are prepared and delivered by local volunteers to households within the community who need a little extra help during the festive season.
In CPCC, the initiative was led by our Transition Year students along with their Religion teachers, Ms. Hogan and Ms. Devine. Over several weeks, students brought in a wonderful selection of non‑perishable food items, including tins of fruit and soup, beans, cereals, pasta, rice, tea and biscuits. The response was thoughtful, practical, and overwhelmingly generous.
Once the collection was complete, Ms. Hogan personally delivered the donated items to the local SVP food bank in Clondalkin, ensuring that everything reached the organisation in time for Christmas preparations. These contributions will now form part of the hampers distributed to local families, offering comfort and support during what can be a difficult time of year.
The school community is incredibly proud of the empathy and kindness demonstrated by our students. Their willingness to help shows the positive impact young people can have when they come together for a good cause.
