This summer a large cohort of first and second year students took part in the school summer programme. Over the course of two weeks there were trips to the park, scavenger hunts, healthy eating workshops, cooking, rounders, dodgeball, a trip to the cinema and a trip to Jump Zone.
Students, teachers and SNAs had a terrific time and the weather stayed good for the most part which added to the positive outcome of the camp.
On the final day the students got a special treat for lunch and there were awards handed out to students who excelled in particular areas over the course of the two weeks, with a big focus on 'building confidence and developing connections' - the theme of the camp for this year.
Some of the the testimonials from the students included, "My favourite activity was hide and seek and my favourite thing that happened was when Ms McNulty brutally defeated me in a Jump Zone game." Another student said, "My best memory was the hunt the teachers game". Finally one student added, "My favourite moment in the summer camp was shopping in Liffey Valley with my campmates after Jump Zone".
Well done to all those who participated in the camp and thanks to the teachers and SNAs who made the summer programme a great success for 2023.
