TY Clondalkin Health Week

TY Clondalkin Health Week

Recently there was a health week in the school, where we raise awareness for how important mental and physical health is.

CPCC’s transition years walked to Rowlagh Community Centre to participate in the various stations looking to raise awareness about children and teenagers mental and physical health. There were spokespeople from the different organisations ready to speak to students with leaflets and books containing information.

A quiz was given to the students with trivia questions about different mental health organisations and the students had to ask different people at the event for the answers.

If they answered all the questions correctly they were eligible to enter a raffle, where the students had the chance to win multiple prizes.

One of the stations was giving out free smoothies whilst another handed out free t-shirts and beakers. There was also tea, coffee and muffins supplied by Supervalu, Rowlagh.

The students had a great time competing in the various challenges and they also learned a lot about mental health and how your physical health can benefit your mental health.
