On Friday the 22nd of November, a general knowledge quiz was held in the Assembly Hall for TY Students. It included all students who did not do Work Experiences this term as well with the Spanish students that were in the school for the past two weeks.
Students got into groups of roughly five people, they were given a total of seven answer sheets to record our answers for each round of the quiz. The rounds were made up of:
· General Knowledge
· Movies
· Television
· Audio
· Sports
· Music
· Famous People
We were all allowed to pick our own team names. I was in a Group called “Horrid Heroes” as the name is based on that one famous book series that used to be HUGE in Primary School. There was another team called “St. Pats from Inchicore”. They came second, with “The Yellow Bananas” coming in first. They were rewarded with chocolates for being top of the leaderboard.
At the end of the quiz, we were given hot chocolate, and we were allowed to talk to our friends. Some people were emotional because they had to say goodbye to the Spanish students since it was their last day with us.
All and all, it was a good morning.
