On Thursday, the YSI team ran their very own swap shop for their project, out with the new, in with the old. The students had collected donations of clothes from teachers and students throughout the school community. They set up their shop in the assembly hall and had students and teachers take anything they liked for free!
The students aim was to reduce the amount of fast fashion items within the school community. They ended up with 60% of clothes donated going to students and teachers in the school creating a circular economy within the school. Clothes not taken are being upcycled for their upcoming fashion show.
