Collinstown Park Community College

Football is one of the most popular sports worldwide. It is growing more and more in popularity including in the local area. In the area surrounding our school we have several different football clubs of which our students are members. These include: Collinstown FC, Esker Celtic and River Valley Rangers.

Collinstown has a long record in both Boys and Girls Football. The school runs teams at every age division and has had many successes over the years.

Last season unfortunately the football season was cancelled due to coronavirus. The academic year before last (2020/21) the under 17’s football team enjoyed great success on the field. The teams reached the final of the league and the cup.

On both occasions they came up short in the final. The group was led by captain Kyle Grant who has now left us last season on completion of 6th year. There are still some players in 6th year that were on the under 17’s team and hopefully we will be able to win a final this year once football starts back.

If you are interested in joining a football team make sure to contact one of the coaches and listen out for notices on when training starts.

The coaches involved are Ms Rooney, Mr Lanigan, Mr Harpur, Mr Behan, Mr Cassidy and Mr Dowling.
